1/4 teaspoon salt juice of one lemon 3 garlic cloves, crushed freshly ground black pepper, to taste l teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon dried basil 2 to 3 ounces olive oil Stir ingredients together by hand or in a blender. Put steaks or chicken in a plastic bag or in baking dish, and pour sauce over to coat. Refrigerate and marinate for 1/2 hour up to 4 hours.
