Sugar Cookies

This is a very delicious sugar cookie, and simple to make. No need to use a cookie cutter, they come out in perfect circles. I use red and green colored sugars for Christmas.

l cup butter, softened
l cup corn (or other vegetable) oil
2 eggs
l cup granulated sugar
l cup powdered sugar
4 cups flour
l teaspoon baking soda
l teaspoon cream of tartar
l teaspoon salt
l teaspoon vanilla

Cream butter, oil, and sugars. Add and mix in eggs. Add dry ingredients and vanilla, and mix in well. Drop on greased cookie sheet from a teaspoon. Press each cookie down lightly with the bottom of a glass that has been dripped in sugar. (Butter the bottom of the glass so sugar will adhere.) Bake 8 minutes in a 350 oven. Do not overbake. The cookie will round out as it bakes.

Yahoo! rating of the week:
Excellent- " Excellent product at a quite reasonable price - I could not find these items locally, even in the "gourmet" stores. Impressed with the shipping (fast and well packed) and the follow up as well." William E., Sausalito, CA.
